Child Hunger SBC wk 4 activity 1

About 21,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes.Sadly, it is children who die most often.

  • 6.3 million children under age five died in 2013, nearly 17,000 every day. The risk of a child dying before completing five years of age is highest in Africa (90 per 1000 births),about 7 times higher than Europe (12 per 1000 births).

There is enough food for everyone, but not everyone has enough food.
We are so lucky that we have food and water and we are not dyeing of hunger.
How do you think that we can help?

  1. Heidi, there's some good stuff in here, but it's a bit higgledy-piggledy. Opening sentence is good, but then the random quote...'What would a child just shrug off?' I can't umderstand your next sentence - ...but is it wrong to use the word "hunger"...
What is the double counting part about? Is that an important point you want to make? Or do you want to highlight the face that thousands of people are dying?

    I agree, we are lucky.

Well done for including your references.

  2. Dear Heidi,

I found this post not only sad, but inspirational. We have the power to do something about this, yet we don't. There are some facts in this post that I did not know about. Thanks for sharing. Don't forget to check out my blog here
